Portable Dance Barre
Project Goal: Develop a personal barre system with a sprung base that can be collapsed for ease of transport while maintaining stability

Design Approach: Explored different telescoping extrusion designs and locking mechanisms to create the collapsible barre. To keep the base sturdy yet lightweight, an injection molded shroud was designed around a stack of expanded foam, honeycombed PP, and Marley rubber.
Results: Created solution from concept to functional prototype. Created manufacturing package for client when funding is available. Developed idea to patent-pending status.
